@stacyp3 years ago Cassandra -- My teen daughter has her father's oily, breakout prone skin. I didn't suffer with skin issues as a teen, except for the occasional zit. I didn't realize how skin problems can be so mentally exhausting. I feel it's my responsibility as a parent to protect her skin and her mental health. Thank you for your videos. I've learned so much about the best products to use for my daughter's skin type (I admit, I bought her Neutrogena and Clean & Clear because I didn't know any better! 😶) In just a few months, her skin is looking so much better and she has a better handle on her breakouts.
Keep up your informative videos, you are precious! ❤

@mariapapadopoulou16113 years ago No one had ever taught me a single thing about skincare, not even about sunscreen! I did not have a skincare routine until last year, when I was already 25 yo and hadn't been for Cassandra,Hyram,Dr Shereene Idriss and a couple of Greek youtubers(I am from Greece) I would still have not given my skin the treatments, the care and the love it so deserves! I cannot thank you enough,Cassandra! You have no idea how much you have helped me. We are so lucky to have access to youtube nowadays. Thank you for everything you share with us! Have a great day everyone! xo ... 117

@boxcars103 years ago I actually grew up thinking that skincare was a beauty scam meant to make women feel bad because of all of the retinol commercials I saw. So I thought skincare and makeup were one-in-the-same, just there to oppress women. 34

@ewally332 years ago We were poor. There was no washing our face twice a day, wearing sun screen, flossing, brushing teeth twice a day, and no 6 month going to the dentist for cleaning. I learned all this at the age of 20. My kids have learned all these things from me. As a result of bad dental hygiene, my cousin (who is 64) is missing her teeth. I have all, but 1 tooth missing at 59 years age. I wear a bridge. Skin and hygiene is a high priority in my life. ... 4

@naomiaalbregtse14823 years ago I had to teach my mom about skincare she never really wears makeup or does skincare so I had to grow up with me and my sister obsessively researching about skincare and makeup and now we have my mom on a good skincare routine and have helped her learn that skincare is not just self care but it’s a form of health ... 15

@annyjones72283 years ago I can now say that I've been using a sunscreen daily for about 1 1/2- 2 years and the BIGGEST thing I had to learn was using a sunscreen without a moisturiser. ._.
I do not have the patience or the brain power in the morning to wait for a moisturiser AND a sunscreen to sink in. As moisturiser is first I either chose not to apply the sunscreen because I was inpatient or because I simply forgot to do it.
Now I have a sunscreen that is nourishing enough I'm protected from death- and wrinkle-rays ^-^.

@bubblewrap5k8233 years ago One thing which seems so simple but I just recently learnt to do is googling solutions to your problems. Thanks to skin care youtubers and now Derms on youtube for making such valuable knowledge accessible .
Especially when money dont grow on trees lol
When I was younger...the only resemblance to skincare I did was just clenser.
yep. no sunscreen or moisturiser. but plenty of DIY shit and nose pore strips.
Now in my 20's , late start but boy it helped me to take care of myself . Physically and emotionally.
Even when depression makes me skip doing a night routine time to time-
At least I'd bother to take any bit of makeup off
