Review of Chennai (MAA) to Bagdogra (IXB) flight via Ahmedabad (AMD), on Indigo airlines. Boarding, check in, security, take off, landing and airport tour, of Chennai International Airport (MAA) and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (AMD) Ahmedabad. In this video we start our journey from the K Khamaraj domestic Terminal of Chennai Airport as we enter the departure area for check in to our flight to Bagdogra. After checking in we spend some time to explore the inside of Chennai International Airport. We find that the manual luggage scanning facilities are no longer in operation as automatic in line scanning facilities have been installed in the domestic terminal recently. Then we went to cross security check which was smooth. At the departure gates area we found there are some duty free shops selling merchandise. We boarded from one of the lower gates and an airlines bus took us to the aeroplane. The takeoff was nice and smooth. After two and half hours we reached Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. It was clean and well maintained airport. But since there was no transit hall or bay we had to exit the arrival area to the outside of the airport and again enter the departure area from the main front entrance. The Ahmedabad airport is well decorated with traditional Gujarat art and inside the departure gate area there is a whole wall dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. After security check we went to departure gate no.3 which was upstairs. There are eight departure gates in the domestic terminal, gates 1 - 4 on the first floor and gates 5 - 8 on the ground floor. The first floor also has a shopping area, a food court, the several airport lounges like the plaza premium and a Yoga Cum Meditation Hall. the Yoga cum meditation hall is a nice touch in the departure terminal and shall be benificial for the health conscious people. After boarding our flight taxied to the runway which is at a distance from the domestic terminal. The takeoff was nice and we had good views of the town and Sabarmati river as we took off leaving the airport behind. Before landing at Bagdogra I got to witness an amazing sight from the window, I could clearly see two of the world’s highest mountain peaks, the Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga to our left over the plane wings. And finally after three hours we landed at Bagdogra international air in Siliguri, our final Destination. Chennai International Airport (MAA) is the fourth largest airport in India.
