Stam Fine Reviews looks at Kevin Reynolds 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner as Robin Hood. No, really. Robin of Loxley returns home from the crusades to find his father dead and property destroyed by the evil Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman). The Sheriff also has his eye on Robin’s girlfriend, Maid Marian (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio). Hijinks ensue. A very popular film, that’s not a particularly good one, despite how enjoyable it may be for some folk. Also stars Morgan Freeman, Christian Slater, Brian Blessed, Mike McShane, and anyone else who didn't have a better gig at the time.
