Evil dilemma – The concept of evil – Logical problem of evil – The nature of evil – Why is there so much evil? – Why is there so much suffering in life? – How can God allow so much evil and suffering? – Why does God allow evil to exist? – If God is love, Why is there evil in the world? – If god is love, why is there evil and suffering? – How can a good and loving God allow evil? Why do natural disasters happen? Why are there viruses that kill humanity? What is the guilt of children that die in wars? Is this evidence that there is no wise and merciful creator? this question began in the West on the premise that the vast majority of westerners believe that God is love. And that God sacrificed his child and paid his life a price for our sins and our mistakes. He was tormented on the cross for the love sake of us humans, for this concept of unconditional love is unable to justify afflictions. From there, the evil dilemma has emerged because God cannot be love and afflict us with calamities and disasters at the same time. To be more specific, with the beginning of the industrial revolution and the emergence of modern science in Europe. Europe began to turn against monarchies and religions - represented in the church - either to belief in the existence of a superstitious God who loves us with the presence of unjustified evil in the world. Or faith in the absence of a god due to the existence of evil. However, this is a logical fallacy of requiring love only as a reason for the deity to exist. And the mere presence of evil negates deity existence. No, the presence of the effect indicates the affecter existence. The existence of evil in itself is evidence on a causer of this evil, not evidence of no-causer. Now it remains for us to know why evil exists? Before answering any question, we must always acknowledge that God has the wisdom that we cannot realise it as a whole. For, God's knowledge is absolute, but our understanding is limited and cannot accommodate the divine intelligence in full. As one seeks to put the entire ocean in a cup. Or as the child wants to spend his life, eating sweets and his father forbids him except to drink milk for his benefit. The father does not enjoy torturing his son. But the father knows that too many candies will cause a spike in blood sugar levels. And will affect the pancreas functions and increase the possibilities of diabetes, infections, heart diseases and cancer. The father is not obligated to explain all these details to his child. Add to that, the child's mind will not absorb medical terms and scientific research. It is sufficient for the father to say no without explaining the reason to his child; Who cannot understand the wisdom behind candy prohibition or what looks evil in that kid's eyes. For God's knowledge and understanding are higher and more comprehensive than being contained in our limited human minds. All our endeavours are presumptions to clarify the reasons behind actions from the knowledge-drops falling from the sea of unlimited knowledge of God. The first presumption is what The Almighty said in Surat Al-Rum verse 41 (corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]). There is also a logical necessity for evil to distinguish between good and evil. For it is necessary to have the opposite of good, which is bad, hate, and war to feel the taste of good, love, and peace. Where if there were no evil; there would be no civilisations. And would not be scientifically advanced in developing medicine remedies, or high-rise buildings that are resistant to earthquakes, and lots and lots of other things in other areas of life. Among the decisive presumptions of the reason for the existence of evil is that this world is not the venue of absolute justice, for this world is a place of ordeal and trial. The Almighty said in Surat Al-Anbiya, Verse 35 (Every soul will taste death, and We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us, you will be returned), which means that even the graces and blessings are trials from God, not only afflictions and disasters. God, by His absolute wisdom, afflicts us with what He knows that we are qualified to endure. The Almighty said in Surat Al-Mu'minun verse 62 (And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly) because God, with His absolute knowledge, assigns you what you can withstand. The presence of good and evil in life is proof that you are assigned on a mission and will be held accountable for your choices. So If you think that we live in life without a purpose, you should not be aware of the meaning of good or evil. #evildilemma
