This video explains how to make Chakka Pradhaman or Chakka Payasam.Try this delicious Vishu Special payasam and enjoy with your Vishu Sadya . വിഷുവിനു തയ്യാറാക്കാൻ ടേസ്റ്റിയായ ചക്ക പ്രഥമൻ See the ingredients Chakka chula-40 nos Jaggery syrup-take 500 gms jaggery and melt it with 1 & 1/2 cups of water.Strain it. Thin coconut milk-1 cup Medium thin coconut milk-1 cup Thick coconut milk-1/2 cup Cardamom powder-1/2 tspn Roasted cumin powder-1/4 tspn Cashewnuts Raisins Ghee-2 tablespoon Cook chakka chula with 1 cup thin coconut milk in a cooker for 3 to 4 whistles.Let it cool down.Then grind it to a smooth paste. In a pan add chakka paste and jaggery.Stir it for about 10 to 15 mints till it becomes thick.Add 1 tablesoon ghee and stir for 5 more mints.Then add medium thick coconut milk and stir till it reduces a little and payasam becomes thick.Then add cardamom powder and cumin powder and stir for 1 more mint.Finally add thick coconut milk and mix well the milk is well incorporated.Then switch off the flame. In another pan add ghee and when the ghee is hot add cashews and raisins and roast them well. Add this to the payasam amd mix well. The payasam will thicken when you keep it for sometime.This payasam is really sweet ,so it tastes best when enjoyed with soem bananas.
