The castaways will each race under a net crawl. They will then make their way to a table where they will slide tiles into a target. Once all the tiles are through, they will use a machete to transport those tiles over a teeter-totter and balance beam to the finish table. They will then sort the tiles into pairs. Three of the tiles will not match up. Those three hold the code to a combination that will unlock their box. The first person to unlock their box and raise their flag wins. Reward: Advantage in the next Immunity Challenge, along with their loved one spending a day at camp with them. The winner would get to practice the Immunity Challenge the following morning, with their loved one guiding them. Challenge: The Home Stretch Winner: Mike Holloway https://survivor.fandom.com/wiki/The_Home_Stretch The Home Stretch (also known as Wizard's Staff and Home Stretch) is a recurring challenge in Survivor. First used in Survivor: Worlds Apart, it reappeared in Kaôh Rōng, Millennials vs. Gen X, and Edge of Extinction. Rules The castaways must each race under a net crawl and make their way to a table where they must slide tiles into a target. Once all the tiles are through, they must use a machete to transport those tiles over a teeter-totter and balance beam to the finish table. They must then sort the tiles into pairs. Three of the tiles will not match up. Those three hold the code to a combination that will unlock their box. The first person to unlock their box and raise their flag wins. In Millennials vs. Gen X, the contestants had to transport ten discs over a balance beam and then through a wire maze. After they had all ten discs at the finishing podium, they had to roll the ten discs through a slot. The first person to land all ten discs in their compartment wins. In Edge of Extinction, it was more similar to its original Worlds Apart counterpart (sans the net crawl), though the letter tiles were now transported with two handles, and the challenge instead ended with a word puzzle in which the tiles must be used to spell out a phrase. History The challenge was first used as the final five Reward Challenge in Survivor: Worlds Apart. Mike Holloway won the right to spend the day with his mother at camp and an advantage at the next Immunity Challenge. The challenge reappeared in Survivor: Kaôh Rōng as the final four Reward Challenge for food. Aubry Bracco won and shared the reward with Cydney Gillon. The challenge appeared once again in Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X as the final eight Immunity Challenge. After a close race, Jay Starrett ultimately won the challenge and was safe at Tribal Council. Upon its return in Survivor: Edge of Extinction, Aurora McCreary expressed visible disappointment when being told that the final leg was now a word puzzle, stating she was no good at them. In a close race, Rick Devens pieced together the phrase "NOT LIVING ON THE EDGE TONIGHT" quicker than his competition, winning a well-timed individual immunity for himself, much to Aurora's chagrin. Trivia Aubry Bracco is currently the only female to have won this challenge. Edge of Extinction marks the only time the tribe competing was not a black tribe. https://survivor.fandom.com/wiki/Survivor: _Worlds_Apart Survivor: Worlds Apart, also known as Survivor: Worlds Apart — White Collar vs. Blue Collar vs. No Collar, is the thirtieth season of Survivor. The initial tribes were divided based on the economic/professional background of their members. To date, it has produced four returning players (Hali Ford, Joe Anglim, Shirin Oskooi, and Sierra Dawn Thomas) for subsequent seasons. This season saw an abnormally high level of interpersonal strife between contestants. Major incidents included: the controversial invective that Will Sims II directed against Shirin; the misogynistic conduct of Rodney Lavoie Jr.; the fraught social standing of Dan Foley; the latter's emotional conflict with Mike Holloway; Nina Poersch's feelings of exclusion from her tribe based on her hearing impairment; and Jenn Brown's withdrawal from the main social action of the game after the elimination of her friend, Hali. After an extended streak of Immunity Challenge victories, Mike won the title of Sole Survivor in a 6-1-1 jury vote over Will and Carolyn Rivera.
