@totalyep10 months agoRegarding the welder, your gas cup is leaking where it seals to the torch, letting air into the argon. A quick fix is tape or make sure the gas cup is tight. 507

Ive used one for over 5 years and i id="hidden9"t can do anything and everything it also can use the same amount of gas flow as a smaller on but you get way more gas coverage. @BASENTRIM33310 months agoBefore welding, flood the tube with argon. When sealing a tube, the air inside expands and tries to come out through the weld. Try drilling a small hole if you can' t find any leaks, try a different bottle and new tungsten. A brand new bottle of contaminated gas is possible, it will drive you mad. ...Expand

@tipperz10 months agoKev you should really look into rubber bonding as a tyre option, theres a reason why the rubber stays in all the bushes that are on your cars/monster truck and that reason is that they are bonded to the metal. 3

@guitruss74 months agoOutside airflow maybe causing that from a breez or from the cooling fans on the machine. Strike a lighter right next to the welding area. If the flame flickers thats to much breeze and its affecting your shielding.

@feedurheadhesaid10 months agoLots of good welding tips so i wont repeat them but something i didnt see, if you grind your tungsten on the same machine you grind other metals it can contaminate it. Buy a tungsten grinder, its totally worth it.
