The family of five upped sticks from Kensington Palace in London to move to the four-bedroom Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor estate. The move was an important one for the three children as they all started at the nearby Lambrook School with nine-year-old George and seven-year-old Charlotte leaving their previous school of St Thomas's in Battersea, South London. However, on the day that classes began, George, Charlotte and four-year-old Louis learned that their great-grandmother the Queen, who they called 'Gan Gan' had died aged 96.
