"Torna a Surriento" is a Neapolitan song composed in 1894 by Italian composer Ernesto De Curtis and his brother, the poet and painter Ernesto De Curtis. This beautiful, definitive version by the great Franco Corelli was recorded in 1962 on the studio album “Neapolitan Songs”. Italian Bombshell Gina Lollobrigida was a movie star and singer of the 1950s and 1960s. The first time that I heard of her I was a kid watching the Flintstones. They made reference to her as "Gina Load A Bricks"! In 1974, she was the envy of many when she had the chance to do a coveted photographic interview of the reclusive Fidal Castro.
