@markuyehara78802 years agoA cup of coffee, some Kirk Fletcher and my morning is off to a great start.
@
@alexcastillo61856 months agoOut of all the amazing guitar players past and present, no one gives me the absolute chills like bb king . He has this way of phrasing notes that build this beautifully “sad”, yet “sweet” sentence that when he hits that root note it’s like pure bliss. That’s my best try at describing it. You Mr. Fletcher, are my favorite modern guitarist, in big part because I can tell you feel BB the way I do, and you just have so many influences from the old legends, with a modern day tone, and your own voice. ...
@
@izziTONE3 years agoThe way you talk shows that you are a very kind and pure person. That translate to your guitar playing and music. I am glad I found you and get inspired. I just started learning blues and hope one day I can play blues like you. Thank you for all the lesson. ...

@DaveElke4 years agoOnly got to see BB once, and so glad I did. It was like we were in his living room hanging out, he was just so open, sharing stories, getting the crowd singing, just an all around inspiring night. Oh, and his rhythm guitarist was amazing, smooth as butter.. ...3
@
@jtbutlerjr4 years agoAnother great lesson. I really like that statement about Blues before B. B. King and after B. B. Blues was blessed by having a profusion of talented players, singers and personalities that put their own stamp on the style, but B. B. King was a nexus where the all those contributions came together in one compact, laid back swinging player. He was a catalyst, like Miles Davis in Jazz. His style and that minimalist mastery of timing and space was a lot more influential to me than a whole herd of virtuoso ego freaks. Thank God, that he was extensively recorded and filmed, because every note he played is a masterclass. ...6

@timothydaniels5044 years agoI love that Kirk touches on Lonnie Johnson. There’s a sweetness and elegance in his playing that Lonnie had. These two gentlemen are in their own league.

@DoctorDave54 years agoI love the fact that Kirk seems to enjoy hitting a great phrase or lick as much as I like hearing them. Brilliant.

@
@martynspooner58224 years agoYes BB s legacy will be set in stone for his contribution to the genre, a true master who could put more emotion in one note than some shredders 10 minute solo. All about the feel and BB was in a class of his own.

@graemero55324 years agoCheers Kirk. Love B.B, such an immotive player.

@dannyjonze4 years agoI've been playing a long time and every year I realise more exactly what you said, BB becomes more apparent and important in his contribution. Everything seems to flow from his influence, TBone too.

@
@doyleallen37624 years agoSounding good guy! Thanks. Tons of classic lines. Way cool. ♥
@
@DorothyOzmaLover4 years agoJust love your playing since its so emotive and expressive that captures the ear. As a guitarist influenced by Blues who looks for inspiration, I really enjoy your phrasing of BB King and your notes about how he's been applied in the past and how to use him today. Plus, I love Django Reinhardt for inspiration too so props to you for noting him as well! Cheers! ...1
@
@jonhughes72644 years agoThanks so much. I'm always inspired to get my looper pedal out and try to imitate what you do after watching one of your videos. And I will add that I don't come that close cos you're GOOD. Also, I love the maintaining eye contact in the middle of the solo. ;-) ...

@
@JackFossett4 years agoDid you hear they’re making a BB King Biopic?
@
@BGsea4 years agoIn general it's an honor to be thought of in terms of a biopic but often they don't have the budget to give an honorable representation of the artist life. It's also worth mentioning that no biopic is without its critics... What's Love..., Get on Up, and Ray were good biopics but Hendrix has not been properly represented though not for a lack of trying. BB certainly deserves a proper budget which includes those who knew him as much as it does top notch filmmakers. Maybe they will get Kirk Fletcher to play the live music (especially if they don't have access to his recordings, which would not be a good sign).... In my best Arnold from Different Strokes voice: "Whatchu doin with that bass"🤨😆 Great playing today ...
@
@donmccown66452 years agoYou have the slickest licks. Especially the runs that move up or down the fretboard. It would be cool if you would break down a couple. Show what you're doing.
@
@benjamanbrecher85314 years agoIn your opinion...what are your thoughts on Pages style and sound?
@
@richardlynch56324 years agoHey Mr. Fletcher...when you have a choice of bending middle strings, do you prefer pushing up or pulling down? Personally prefer pushing, but vibrato is weaker that way. Thanks sir👍😎 👍😎❤🖖 Love brother ...1
